SFF Advisory Group

About the Advisory Group

Sustainable Farm Families has a sound history of consumer input and industry input and has been served since 2003 by a supportive advisory structure.  With the completion of the original projects in 2007, Expressions of Interest were called for a new advisory group.

The Sustainable Farm Families (SFF) Advisory Group (SFFAG) was established to:
•Advocate for the needs of farming families to SFF program decision-makers;
•Monitor the project goals and ensure they are reached in a timely manner;
•Act as an ambassador for the program;
•Provide support and encourage the SFF team in the development of the framework of governance and cross sector collaboration for transferability to other states and countries; and
•Oversee the completion of current SFF projects.

The Advisory group currently has fifteen members, with a balance of industry groups, government and health agencies with three farmer representatives who have expertise and knowledge in the rural industry and are currently farming.

    There have been a total of seven meetings:
    •December 2009
    •September 2009
    •June 2009
    •March 2009
    •December 2008
