Train the Trainer Education - Monday 23rd-Wednesday 25th July 2007

The objectives of the training is to train health professionals in the methodology of the SFF Program.  The outcome following this is that they can return to their health service and deliver the program with some support from Western District Health Service.
The trainers are educated relating to adult learning theories, how to liaise and use the media effectively, how to link and collaborate with industry partners, the key methods in recruitment and retention of knowledge.  The training allows them to enhance their skills, experiences and knowledge already obtained from general practice.
Health Services that have undertaken the training have found that the program addresses many of their organisations key primary health initiatives, such as ambulatory sensitive conditions, cardiovascular disease, cancers, OH & S, stress, men’s health and women’s health, physical activity and has become part of their strategic direction for farming families.
